How to Play
In Pokémon Yellow, your goal is to become the Pokémon League Champion by capturing and training Pokémon, battling eight Gym Leaders for badges, and defeating the Elite Four. You begin in Pallet Town with a Pikachu that refuses to stay in its Poké Ball, and must explore the world, talk to NPCs for clues, and manage your team's health and moves. Early on, focus on catching additional Pokémon like Pikachu-complementary types such as a Grass-type from Viridian Forest, and level them up through wild encounters. The core loop involves turn-based battles where you select attacks, use items, or switch Pokémon; type advantages are crucial for success. In tense Gym battles or against your rival, pay attention to your opponent's lineup and save your strongest moves for key moments. As you progress, use HM moves like Cut and Surf to access new areas, and always keep a balanced team ready for the varied challenges ahead.
